WHO ARE WE

The Arizona 4 Wheel Drive Association (A4WDA), is a not for profit organization dedicated to the responsible family four wheeling and motorized outdoor recreation. The association was incorporated in 1965, formerly the Arizona State Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs (ASA4WDC). We have updated our name to make it easier to remember and shorter.

Our mission is to promote a more responsible attitude towards the use of motorized vehicles on public lands. To encourage state and federal land management agencies to develop and maintain roads and trails for outdoor motorized recreation.

The A4WDA is made up of full size vehicle Member Clubs in the state of Arizona. The clubs are located in all parts of our state with the greatest concentration in the greater Phoenix area, also in the southern part of the state in Tucson and Sierra Vista. The northern part of state has clubs in Bullhead City and Parker.

The member clubs work with the local forest service districts and Game and Fish on adopt-a-trails and adopt-a-ranches throughout the state. The A4WDA participates in planning process and trail maintenance with local and federal land managers.

What is Jeep Ducking?

Jeep Ducking is a fun, friendly tradition where Jeep owners leave rubber ducks on other Jeeps they encounter. It started in 2020 when a Canadian Jeep owner wanted to spread positivity during challenging times.

The idea is simple: when you see a Jeep you admire, leave a rubber duck on it with a friendly note. The recipient gets a smile and often continues the tradition by "ducking" another Jeep. It's become a global phenomenon that celebrates the Jeep community's spirit of adventure and camaraderie.

Many ducked Jeeps display their collection proudly on their dashboard, and some ducks travel thousands of miles as they're passed from Jeep to Jeep. It's a small gesture that creates big connections in the off-road community.
